Outside the Box Challenge

From March 1-May 1, we're getting outside of our boxes to try new foods, exercises, and other healthy activities. Follow our progress as we post about how we're meeting each week's new challenge.

  • No Added Sugar Wednesday

    It seems this challenge has been easy for everyone who has posted so far and I’m here to say the same.  The biggest challenge for me was breakfast, because my cereal contains added sugar.  So, I decided to switch out the cereal for oats.  The last time I had oatmeal I didn’t like it, but I thought maybe I would like oats not heated.  I didn’t.  I ended up throwing more than half away, but oddly enough the amount I ate filled me up.  I did end up having a slice of toast with some guacamole just cos I knew I should eat more than I did, but it was crazy how I didn’t get hungry again until about 6 hours later.  I did crave a little something sweet around 5pm, so I ate some grapes to keep me satisfied.
