Outside the Box Challenge

From March 1-May 1, we're getting outside of our boxes to try new foods, exercises, and other healthy activities. Follow our progress as we post about how we're meeting each week's new challenge.

  • No added sugars!!

    This challenge was a little difficult for me.  I usually have a huge sweet tooth and had a hard time with an after dinner snack. 

    For breakfast I ate a small handful of blackberries, an apple, and a hard boiled egg. 

    I did have a morning snack which included some veggie chips. 

    For lunch:  I ate a wrap with tuna, lots of spinach, salsa, cheddar cheese, and some almonds. 

    For dinner-I had a nice steak (I had to find another way to treat myself, and since I don’t eat steak that often), roasted potatoes and some steamed asparagus. 

    I really wanted an after dinner dessert, but I couldnt think of anything easy to grab that didn’t have sugar in it, and I didn’t really feel like any more fruit.  So I went to bed without. 

    Now this morning I have a bit of a headache.  I am not sure if it is from my lack of sugar yesterday, but I am assuming that it might be.
