Sugar-free Sweetness

I went sugar-free a few weeks ago & completely eliminated all sugars in my daily diet except fruit sugar. It’s been a fun & rewarding challenge.
I’ve realized that most of the sugar came from my drinks. Before going sugar-free I drank a lot of soda (diet & regular), juice & sweetened my tea & coffee with sugar or Splenda. I’ve completely eliminated all soda & re-programmed my tastebuds to enjoy coffee with just cream & plain black tea. Now I have the benefit of tasting what I’m actually drinking (coffee & tea are so much more delicious unsweetened!) & I’ve effortlessly lost a few pounds too!
Another benefit is that fruit has never tasted so delicious! When I have a sweet tooth now, a crispy nashi or creamy banana suits me just fine. I do love to bake, so I allow myself the occasional treat, but use only honey or fruit juice. I won’t use artificial sweeteners anymore & white sugar hurts my teeth.
So there you have it! Go sugar free. Feel better, have healthier chompers & taste the delicious goodness of the actual food & drink that you’re enjoying!
