Outside the Box Challenge

From March 1-May 1, we're getting outside of our boxes to try new foods, exercises, and other healthy activities. Follow our progress as we post about how we're meeting each week's new challenge.

  • A day with no sugar

    I have already eliminated adding extra sugar to my food, and consume only the amount already present in it.

    I have been trying to reduce the food with lots of sugar in it from my diet (at least the ones were sugar is one of the main ingredients).

    This challenge was a bit harder for my as I was visiting home and going out to eat a lot, but i managed in the end.

    I stuck to my oatmeal and fruit for breakfast and lots of veggies for lunch. I must say that my everyday meals were not a problem, but I do enjoy chocolate quite a lot and since I am currently home I tend to overindulge in treats not found anywhere else (home is Colombia). Not consuming any of the sweet treats was hard for my day and I don’t think I could cut those entirely when home. I do have to reduce the amount of chocolate I consume as I love, love, love it. This challenge helped me realize how “addicted” to chocolate I am and how I need to work on not overindulging!!
